Our Proven Process
01
Meet Your Designer
We start with a visit to your home to measure the space and talk through goals, scope, and budget. We’ll ask about how you live (kids, entertaining, cooking habits) so the design fits your real life.
What we cover: measurements • scope (refresh vs. reconfigure/knock down walls) • style preferences • general budget
02
Preliminary Design & Transparent Budget
We “give first.” You’ll receive a full set of drawings/perspectives and a detailed, line-item proposal outlining scope. If selections aren’t finalized yet, we include realistic allowances so the budget is accurate, typically within ~5–10% once selections are set.
What you get: drawings & perspectives • detailed proposal & scope • sensible allowances (not lowballed)
03
Selections & Commitment
With the layout and budget in place, we help you finalize selections: cabinet style and finish, countertops, backsplash, hardware, lighting, and appliances. This is usually when a contract or retainer is signed so we can order materials and lock in your spot on the calendar.
Decisions made: finishes & fixtures • appliance plan • final proposal/contract
04
Pre-Construction Scope Review & Calendar
Your designer and our construction manager review the project together (often with a site visit). Then we build a day-by-day calendar with clear start and finish dates, who will be onsite, and what’s happening each day. You’ll always know where things stand.
Deliverable: a detailed, shareable calendar you can track
05
Build: On Schedule, On Plan
We follow the calendar, coordinate trades, and keep you posted on progress. If anything shifts, you’ll know it and you’ll see how we’re staying on track to finish when promised.
What to expect: consistent communication • tidy jobsite • visible progress against the calendar
06
Completion, Walkthrough & Punch List
Your designer and construction manager complete a final walkthrough with you: covering lighting controls, basics of appliance operation, and where everything lives. Any cosmetic touch-ups are logged on a punch list; if something needs replacing, we order it and schedule the fix.
Outcome: confident handoff • clear answers • small items resolved quickly
